8/10/99
  • YROLN Principal's Reference Group meeting at Lilydale HS. A decision was made that Friday morning 3rd December will be the big celebration day for the project. Teachers and four - five nominated students from YROLN schools will attend a function at Lilydale HS to show off their pages. (Stay tuned for more details.)
  • Visited Lilydale Heights SC. Pages written on the 'Helmeted Honey Eater' by two of their Year 7 students are the FIRST to be published on the Internet as part of the YROLN project. They can be inspected at:- http://www.heathmonteastps.vic.edu.au/honey.htm, until Lilydale Heights have their pages running.

  • Visited Wandin North PS, who are just completing their web pages. Wandin North are creating a very complex and informative site. It should be on the Internet very soon.
  • Visited Badger Creek PS, who are also putting the finishing touches to their web pages. Mark Brisbane has been leading some very clever students in the creation of a web site on Koorie Culture. The page has just been placed on the Internet at the following URL:- http://www.badgerps.vic.edu.au/history.htm

  • Visited Wandin North PS and published the school's first web pages for the project, located at http://www.wandinp.vic.edu.au Some modifications will be required, although it's good to see their site up and running.
  • Visited Seville PS, where the web pages are just starting. Due to their project being a relatively small one, they are using Netscape Composer to create pages.
  • Visited Billanook PS, where some very creative ideas are being generated for their Aboriginal Dreamtime stories, including the use of 'sound' in the files.

  • Visited Wandin North PS to update web pages. They are now in the position to control their pages themselves.
  • Visited Billanook PS to continue work on their ambitious project. Billanook are using sound files in their pages with great success. The site has just been placed on the Internet at the following URL:- www.billanookps.vic.edu.au/yroln.htm
